Job summary

University of Ottawa is seeking two Teaching Assistants/Demonstrators/Lab Monitors for the First Year Laboratories - Physics (PHY1XXX) at Main Campus. Work runs May 1, 2027 to August 31, 2027 with 87 total hours and two pay rates: undergraduate and graduate levels.

Responsibilities include preparation, student contact, and grading. The roles are part-time, in-class delivery, and governed by CUPE 2626 collective agreement. English language work environment at the Faculty of Science.

Qualifications

• Completion of 3 years of University level Physics or equivalent.
• Correction / Notation: 44.5 hours.
• Contact with students: 32.5 hours.
• Preparation: 10 hours.

Responsibilities

• Execute lab demonstrations as part of teaching.
• Marking/Grading assignments, tests, midterms.
• Prepare lab demonstrations and materials.
