The Opportunity

Medcan Health Management is seeking a Family Physician to build a Dedicated Care, Rostered Family Practice, joining an expanding medical team of over 90 physicians. You will take on a relatively small, rostered practice giving you the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while you enjoy market-leading compensation and incentives and the time you deserve – professionally and personally – to balance work and life. The position is scheduled for at least three days in clinic Monday through Friday primarily between the hours of 8 am – 5 pm at our clinic in Collingwood (40 Huron Street).

What You’ll Do

• Dedicate your time to a relatively small number of patients where you will focus on in‑depth compassionate and preventive primary care.
• Build strong relationships with your patients and take the time to understand all interconnected aspects of their health and wellness journey.
• Uncover insights from same‑day testing conducted by our dedicated team to provide clinical recommendations and health guidance for your patients.
• Craft well‑rounded clinical and wellness diagnoses and treatment plans which utilize our extensive referral partners – once you make the recommendation, leave the referral process in the capable hands of our dedicated referral team; no phone calls or follow‑ups required.
• Engage with and learn from our extensive team through daily lunches, on‑site continuing medical education, and all other innovative product development initiatives on the go at Medcan.

Pay Transparency and Practice Model

Medcan’s practice model is structured so that physicians, who serve as consultants to Medcan, provide proactive, relationship‑based care that extends beyond what is funded under OHIP. While medically necessary visits are billed to OHIP, much of Medcan’s care model involves uninsured services—including asynchronous advice, prescription management outside visits, proactive follow‑up on results, and comprehensive preventive assessments—forming a meaningful component of total earnings. Rates will vary depending on services offered by the Physician.
