Saskatchewan Health Authority in Regina is recruiting a full-time Physician Assistant for Pasqua Hospital within the Ostomy & Wound Resource Team. The role works under a formal Physician/PA relationship, practicing medicine with daily day shifts and an 8-hour schedule.

The position offers a 1.0 FTE with a competitive pay band from CAD 51.102 to 62.5 per hour. Eligible applicants will have PA certification, licensure with CPSS, and a PACCC-accredited PA degree.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited PA degree program recognized by PACCC.
• PA-C certification through NCCPA and CPSS licensure.
• ACLS/ATLS certifications are assets.

Job Description: Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalists who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a Physician. Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions, and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS.

Experience

• Clinical experience working as a PA in a related clinical field, is an asset

Education

• Completion of an accredited PA degree program recognized by PACCC

Licenses

• (May be asked to provide proof of meeting maintenance of certification)
• Physician Assistant - Certified (PA-C) through the NCCPA.
• Membership and Licensure in good standing with the CPSS as a PA; or
• Eligible for registration with CPSS (for applicants outside of Saskatchewan).
• Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) through PACCC; or
