Medcan Health Management is seeking Family Physicians to join our Annual Health Assessment, Dedicated Care, MCare and Year-Round Care Clinic teams. Build strong relationships with your patients and take the time to understand all interconnected aspects of their health and wellness journey. Craft well-rounded clinical and wellness diagnoses and treatment plans which utilize our extensive referral partners - once you make the recommendation, leave the referral process in the capable hands of our dedicated referral team; no phone calls or follow ups required. Engage with and learn from our extensive team through daily lunches, on-site continuing medical education, and all other innovative product development initiatives on the go at Medcan. Additional responsibilities as needed depending on clinical team and business area.
Strong service-minded approach to providing excellent comprehensive care Empathetic and collaborative working style to engage our diverse group of internal and external stakeholders Commit to working at Medcan for a minimum (1) day per week. Begin to take on patients at a manageable pace after onboarding at Medcan Current registration in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) An active OHIP billing number CCFP designation, CCFP (EM) designation or FRCPC designation Experience in preventive care and wellness is an asset.

Medcan's practice model is structured so that physicians, who serve as consultants to Medcan, provide proactive, relationship-based care that extends beyond what is funded under OHIP. While medically necessary visits are billed to OHIP, much of Medcan's care model involves uninsured services—including asynchronous advice, prescription management outside visits, proactive follow-up on results, and comprehensive preventive assessments—forming a meaningful component of total earnings. Rates will vary depending on services offered by the Physician.
