Job description

Responsibilities

The incumbent demonstrates competency in patient care for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. May be required to direct the work of a Physical Therapy Assistant.

1. Meets the discipline-specific productivity standard.
2. Demonstrates competency in the care of patients during field observation by the clinical supervisor.
3. Completes and submits documentation following established guidelines as measured by a designated evaluation tool.
4. Ensures physician orders are present and correctly written.
5. Documents follow-up of identified problems.
6. Reviews and documents clinical progress toward goals.
7. Demonstrates coordination of care through appropriate communication with other disciplines and team members, and documents this communication as measured by a designated evaluation tool.
8. Meets agency/regulatory requirements as measured by a designated evaluation tool.
9. Documents appropriate management of visit utilization and authorization status as measured by a designated evaluation tool.
10. Meets regulatory requirements for supervisory visits as measured by a designated evaluation tool.

Qualifications

Experience:

• Experience in a healthcare setting (minimum 2 years).

Licensure:

• Possession of a current California license to practice physical therapy.
• Current California driver's license, automobile insurance, and access to an operating motor vehicle.
• Current CPR card.
