This is a 1.0 FTE temporary contract starting Sept 16, 2026 or upon posting completion, ending Dec 18, 2026 or return of the incumbent.

Must hold BC Teacher Certification or equivalent and have degree/formal training and/or teaching experience in Physical Education at the secondary level.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Physical Education to grades 10–12 at Mount Baker Secondary School.
• Schedule and teach two PE blocks for grade 10 (including Girls) and one block for grade 11/12; work on site.

Salary Range: The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $70,392 to $118,611, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

1.0 FTE temporary contract, starting September 16, 2026 or upon completion of the posting process to December 18, 2026, or return of the incumbent.

Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience in Physical Education at the Secondary level.

This position is scheduled to include 2 blocks of Physical Education 10, 1 block of Physical Education 10 (Girls) and 1 block of Physical Education 11/12. Please note that all work will be on site.

Please note: Continuing teachers will need to vacate their continuing assignment in order to accept a temporary assignment, unless the FTE is greater in the temporary job posting.
