Job description

Pharmacy Technician – Assist the pharmacy team with prescription production, customer service, and sales support across Canada.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and verify customer prescriptions, gathering all necessary information.
• Maintain patient and drug information files.
• Check pharmaceutical products prepared by other regulated or unregulated pharmacy personnel.
• Confirm accuracy and completeness of products before release.
• Prepare prescription labels and affix auxiliary labels to containers.
• Reconcile accounts and collect outstanding monies from patients where necessary.
• Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, measure, mix, and reconstitute medications.
• Price prescriptions and prepare receipts, invoices, letters, memos, and general filing.
• Stock medications and related supplies, rotate and monitor stock.
• Maintain the perpetual inventory system in Kroll.
• Ensure customer privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

• Registered pharmacy technician certification with kept registration to the appropriate pharmacy association.
• High level of professionalism and strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of professional discipline, technical specialties, and related processes.
• Ability to implement practical procedures within moderately complex systems.
• Leadership and organizational capabilities.
• Experience handling cash accurately.
• Experience with Kroll is an asset.
• Respect for confidential and individual rights of customers.
• Effective oral and telephone communication with coworkers, supervisors, suppliers, physicians, and customers.
