Job summary

North York General Hospital in Toronto is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Pharmacy Services (FTT) to support daily operations under supervision of a Staff Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager.

This 12-month full-time temporary role offers days and evenings, including weekends, with a competitive total compensation package and opportunities for teaching and collaborative care.

Strong communication, accuracy, and bilingualism in French/English are valued; hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Pharmacy Technician program at the Community College level.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician (R.Ph.T) designation with Ontario College of Pharmacists.
• Hospital Pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and IV admixtures preferred.
• Demonstrate knowledge of current concepts of hospital pharmacy practice.
• Accurate and efficient typing skills.
• Knowledge in the operation of Pharmacy Computer System and ability to support basic troubleshooting.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Adaptable and well organized.
• Bilingualism in French/English an asset.

You're also a great relationship builder, communicate effectively with peers across the entire organization and effortlessly connect with physicians, staff, patients, and families. You are highly organized, have great interpersonal skills and adapt well in a dynamic environment. You are able to work independently as well as a part of an inter-professional team. This position supports the Hospital's academic mandate by advancing care through teaching and learning and/or transforming care through research and innovation.
