Job summary

Sinai Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacy Department across hospital settings. The role includes unit-dose dispensing, order entry, cart refills, ward stock replenishment, and inventory management, with responsibilities in sterile products and manufacturing.

The ideal candidate holds a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Diploma, an active RPhT license in Ontario, and at least 1 year of hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician Diploma from CCAPP accredited college (Canada).
• Registered and licensed as a Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) with Ontario College of Pharmacists Part A, in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year hospital experience preferred.
• Sound knowledge of computer applications such as Meditech is required.
• Strong organization and problem solving skills; good attendance history.

Responsibilities

• Dispense unit-dose or traditional medications.
• Enter medication orders and refill carts.
• Replenish ward stock and manage inventory.
• Prepare sterile products and assist with manufacturing/pre-packaging.
• Support continuous quality improvement and workload measurement across rotations.

Job Outline:

The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for technical and clerical functions in the area assigned. Duties include unit-dose or traditional dispensing, medication order entry, medication cart refill, ward stock replenishment, inventory management, sterile products preparation, manufacturing and pre-packaging. All rotations include responsibility for continuous quality improvement and workload measurement

Education & Qualifications:

• Pharmacy Technician Diploma from a Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP) accredited college
• Registered and licensed as a Pharmacy Technician (RPhT designation) with the Ontario College of Pharmacists under Part A, in good standing and authorized to practice
• A minimum of 1 year related hospital experience is preferred
• Sound working knowledge of computer applications such as Meditech is required
• Strong organization and problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated satisfactory job performance and attendance history required

Salary:

Minimum - $34.04/hour; Maximum - $39.24/hour
