Job summary

UHN is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the Toronto Rehab - Multiple Sites to perform compounding and dispensing tasks, restock supplies, and maintain patient data in the pharmacy system. The position is a Temporary Full-Time role with an end date around July 2028.

Requires completion of a Pharmacy Technician program and registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists, plus strong communication and organizational skills. Shifts vary; competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Program at an accredited college or recognized equivalent required.
• Registration as a Pharmacy Technician (Part A) in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists required.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Two years practical and related experience preferred.
• Previous hospital experience with unit dose system and intravenous admixture service, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently performing all technical aspects of prescription preparation including compounding and dispensing responsibilities, as per master worksheets.
• Replenishing stock medication supplies for assigned areas.
• Ensuring patient information is updated and maintained in the pharmacy computer system.
• Completing all required reports and documentation.
• Attending, participating and assisting in staff and patient training/educational functions.
• Performing workload measurement support functions.
• Performing cross-functional and/other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested.
