Job summary

Thrifty-Foods in Campbell River, BC, is seeking a friendly, knowledgeable Pharmacy Assistant to support our pharmacy team in delivering patient-centered care.

You will perform prescription assembly, process transactions, handle refills, compounding, pill packs, and inventory management, and schedule clinical services. Prior pharmacy experience is an asset; a Pharmacy Assistant Diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in prescription handling.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
• Ability to work independently while following company standards.

Responsibilities

• Prescription assembly – data entry.
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Promote Profile programs.
• Compounding.
• Pill Pack Assembly.
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning.
• Drug order creation and receiving.
• Schedule professional clinical services (medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.).
• BTC management.
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required
