Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Student to join Earl’s Pharmacy team in Saskatoon, SK. You will work alongside experienced pharmacists, nursing staff and other health-care professionals to deliver resident-centered care in a public LTC setting.

This student position offers weekend and holiday shifts with weekday options, continued learning opportunities, and a supportive team that values attention to detail and strong communication with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in the PharmD program at any level.
• Previous Retail Pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Kroll experience is an asset.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and have experience multitasking.
• Professional attitude and ability to communicate well with customers and co-workers

Responsibilities

• Filling, preparing and labelling prescription refills.
• Billing and adjudication.
• Compounding.
• Medication change management for compliance packaging for care home customers.
• Preparing care home orders for delivery.
• Communication with nursing staff at care homes.
• Assisting the pharmacist in their daily tasks.
• Locating the medication, selecting the prescription container, and count/pour the medication.
• Ensuring that the original container, prescription container contents, and label are checked and initialled by the pharmacist.
