Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support dispensing prescriptions and assist in delivering pharmacy services within the store. You will help process prescriptions, answer customer questions, and coordinate with the pharmacist to ensure accurate and timely medication delivery.

Responsibilities include data entry, third-party billing adjudication, and assisting with the workflow and confidentiality requirements of the Pharmacy Standards of Practice.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Diploma from a Pharmacy Assistant credited course preferred
• Previous Pharmacy Experience preferred
• Effective organizational skills, ability to multi task
• Problem Solving Skills
• Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and gather prescription information according to Standards
• Refer to the pharmacist all clinical inquiries
• Adjudicate third party billing and manage third-party accounts
• Data entry for new prescriptions and manage refill processing
• Assist pharmacist in prescription preparation and labeling
• Maintain and operate cash register in the dispensary
