Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. in Ottawa, Ontario, is hiring a full-time operations pharmacist to join our team serving long-term care facilities.

You will ensure prescriptions are dispensed in line with provincial regulations and company policies to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care. Candidates must be licensed with the Ontario College of Pharmacists, possess strong communication and attention to detail, and be able to cover on-call after hours.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed with the Ontario College of Pharmacists and in good standing.
• Experience in long-term care, retail, or hospital pharmacy is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions in line with provincial regulations and company policies.
• Train and supervise dispensary staff as required.
• Assist in maintaining pharmacy inventory and financial objectives.
• Provide high-quality pharmaceutical care and patient counselling.
• Handle third-party processing and ensure patient privacy.
