Job summary

Safeway in Town of Cochrane is seeking a friendly and professional Pharmacy Assistant to join our pharmacy team. You will support prescription processing, customer service, and daily operations to ensure accurate and efficient patient care.

The ideal candidate has a Pharmacy Assistant Diploma and/or relevant pharmacy experience, with strong attention to detail, able to multi-task in a fast-paced setting, and committed to adhering to company standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.

Responsibilities

• Prescription assembly – data entry
• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions)
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries
• Promote Profile programs
• Compounding
• Pill Pack Assembly
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning
• Drug order creation and receiving
• Schedule professional clinical services (i.e. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.)
• BTC management
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required
