Job summary

Safeway in Grande Prairie is seeking friendly, knowledgeable pharmacy assistants to join our team. You’ll help with prescription assembly, data entry, and delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma; previous pharmacy experience is an asset. You will handle refills, profile programs, compounding, filing, and allied administrative duties according to company standards.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to applicable company standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble prescriptions and enter data.
• Process in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Promote Profile programs.
• Compounding.
• Pill Pack Assembly.
• File prescriptions and manage supplies.
• Drug order creation and receiving.
• Schedule clinical services (e.g., medication reviews).
• BTC management.
• Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, etc.
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required.

• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries

• Pill Pack Assembly
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning
• Drug order creation and receiving
• Schedule professional clinical services (i.e. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.)
• BTC management
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required

What you bring to the table:
