Job summary

Atlantic Superstore is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support accurate dispensing of prescription medications and patient care. You will greet patients, confirm prescription details, enter data, handle third-party adjudication and assist with inventory control.

Candidates should have strong customer service, detail orientation and computer/data entry skills, with flexibility to work days, evenings, nights and weekends. Background in pharmacy is an asset.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Assistant experience is an asset.
• Strong organizational skills and detail orientation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service experience.
• Proficient data entry and computer skills.
• Flexibility to work a variety of hours including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Patient greeting and confirmation of accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling.
• Data entry of patient care information.
• Third Party adjudication (if necessary).
• Accurate dispensing prescription medications.
• Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems.
• General OTC enquiries from patients and referral to Pharmacist where required and necessary.
• Handling customer prescription pick up.
