Job summary

Real Canadian Superstore in Ontario, part of Loblaw Companies Limited, is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support dispensing and patient care under pharmacist supervision. You will greet patients, enter data, and handle third party adjudication as needed.

The role requires strong organizational, communication and customer service skills, with flexibility to work days, evenings, nights and weekends. Prior Pharmacy Assistant experience is an asset.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is an asset.
• Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service experience.
• Proficient computer/data entry skills.
• Flexibility to work a variety of hours which may include days, evenings, night shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and confirm accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling.
• Data entry of patient care information.
• Third party adjudication (if necessary).
• Accurate dispensing of prescription medications.
• Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems.
• Handle general OTC enquiries from patients and referring to Pharmacist when required.
• Handle customer prescription pick up.
