Job summary

Real Canadian Superstore in Ontario, part of Loblaw Companies Limited, is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support accurate prescription dispensing and patient care. You will greet patients, enter data, and assist with third party adjudication while maintaining stock and handling OTC inquiries.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, customer service experience, and flexibility to work a variety of shifts including days and weekends.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Assistant experience is an asset.
• Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service experience.
• Proficient computer/data entry skills.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Patient greeting and confirmation of accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling.
• Data entry of patient care information.
• Third party adjudication (if necessary).
• Accurate dispensing prescription medications.
• Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems.
• General OTC enquiries from patients and referral to Pharmacist where required and necessary.
• Handling customer prescription pick up.
