Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited's Shoppers Drug Mart is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to assist with dispensing prescriptions, support pharmacy services, and help maintain the Pharmacy according to Practice Standards.

You will greet customers, collect information, process orders, enter data, and assist pharmacists with counseling, third-party billing, and daily administration to ensure accurate, timely service for the community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Pharmacy Assistant diploma preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and gather prescription information according to standards.
• Refer clinical inquiries to the pharmacist.
• Process prescriptions and manage cash register and confidentiality.
• Data entry for new prescriptions and refill requests, and third-party billing adjudication.
• Assist pharmacist with prescription preparation and labeling according to standards.
