Job summary

Walmart Canada in Vernon, BC is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support the Pharmacist with prescription filling and administrative duties, enabling more time for patient care. You will closely assist in all pharmacy operations and customer service within a team-focused environment.

Responsibilities include processing prescriptions, data entry, stock control, and clerical tasks, under pharmacist supervision, in a fast-paced retail setting.

• Age – 16 or older

Responsibilities

• Receiving prescriptions from patients and ensuring completeness per guidelines.
• Performing computer functions: data entry, price checks, patient information updates.
• Filling prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, labeling and organizing for verification.
• Maintaining inventory, checking for expired medications, stocking shelves, and ordering supplies.
• Clerical organization: filing prescriptions, invoices and reports.
• Assisting with OTC operations, ordering and cashier duties as assigned by OTC Manager and/or Pharmacist.
