Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant at Real Canadian Superstore. You will greet patients, ensure accuracy of prescription information, and assist with data entry and third-party adjudication.

The role requires accurate dispensing, inventory control, and handling OTC inquiries with patient care focus. Candidates should have strong communication skills, customer service experience, and be flexible to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends in a busy pharmacy

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is an asset.

• Proficient computer/data entry skills.
• Flexibility to work a variety of hours which may include days, evenings, night shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and confirm accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling.
• Enter patient care information into the system.
• Process third party adjudication when necessary.
• Dispense prescription medications accurately.
• Maintain pharmacy stock through inventory control systems.
• Handle general OTC enquiries from patients and refer to Pharmacist when required.
• Manage customer prescription pick up.

In This Exciting Role You Will Be Responsible For

• Patient greeting and confirmation of accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling
• Data entry of patient care information
• Third Party adjudication (if necessary)
• Accurate dispensing prescription medications
• Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems
• General OTC enquiries from patients and referral to Pharmacist where required and necessary
• Handling customer prescription pick up
