Job summary

Sobeys Pharmacy St. Vital in Manitoba is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant to join a patient‑centered team. You will process prescriptions, handle refills, manage pill pack assembly, filing, stock replenishment, and support clinical services scheduling.

The role emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment within Sobeys’ Total Rewards program, including benefits, discount and employee investment options.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Pill Pack Assembly.
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning.
• Drug order creation and receiving.
• Schedule professional clinical services (i.e. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.).
• BTC management.
• Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required.
