Sobeys Inc., doing business as Safeway Pharmacy, invites applications for a Pharmacy Assistant role at River East Plaza in Winnipeg, MB. You will join a Canadian pharmacy team focused on patient-centered care and community health.

The position involves prescription processing, refills, dispensing support, inventory, and assisting with clinical services. Ideal candidates hold a Pharmacy Assistant Diploma, bring accuracy and the ability to multitask, and can work independently in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Pharmacy assistant diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Pill Pack Assembly.
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning.
• Drug order creation and receiving.
• Schedule professional clinical services (e.g. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state management).
• BTC management.
• Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TMLs, manual third parties.
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required.
