Job summary

Sobeys Inc. is seeking a friendly, knowledgeable Pharmacy Assistant to join our national pharmacy team in Medicine Hat.

You will process prescriptions, handle refills, pack pills, manage supplies, and support clinical services while upholding company standards and delivering patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions)
• Handle in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries
• Pill Pack Assembly
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning
• Drug order creation and receiving
• Schedule professional clinical services (medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.)
• BTC management
• Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML's, manual third parties
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required
