Job summary

Lawtons is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant at 965 Bedford Highway, Bedford, Nova Scotia, Canada to support our pharmacy team in delivering patient-centred care. You will handle prescription processing, refills, pill packing, stocking, and administrative duties within a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Pharmacy Assistant Diploma, with prior pharmacy experience a plus, and a strong attention to detail. We offer benefits and development opportunities to support your growth.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute.
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Pill Pack Assembly.
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning.
• Drug order creation and receiving.
• Schedule professional clinical services (e.g., medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements).
• BTC management.
• Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stock, TMLs, manual third parties.
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required.
