Job summary

Sobeys is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant at our Dartmouth, NS location. You will support the pharmacy team by processing prescriptions, handling refill requests, and assisting with day-to-day pharmacy operations in a fast-paced environment.

Here’s where you’ll have an impact:

• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions)
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries
• Pill Pack Assembly
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning
• Drug order creation and receiving
• Schedule professional clinical services (i.e. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.)
• BTC management
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required

What you bring to the table:

• Preferred: Pharmacy Assistant Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
