Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Assistant for our Indian Head, Saskatchewan location. You will support pharmacists and staff in delivering quality patient care, greet customers, and assist with prescriptions and daily operations in a friendly, team-oriented setting.

Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is an asset; knowledge of Kroll and accurate data entry are valued. Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays are required; strong communication and organization

Responsibilities

Job description

Pharmasave #445 is looking for a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Indian Head, Saskatchewan.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
• Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
• Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy witha preliminary understanding of the pharmacy business is an asset.
• Skilled in using Kroll and highly accurate and efficient in prescription data entry is an asset.
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.

Schedule

• 40 hours per week (Full-time)
• The regular schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Candidates should be flexible and available to work occasional Saturday shifts to support business needs.
