Neighbourly Pharmacy in Canora, Saskatchewan, is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The role supports pharmacists and technicians in delivering patient care, handling prescriptions, and maintaining inventory in a busy retail pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail setting preferred.
• Accurate prescription data entry is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and team collaboration.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift boxes/containers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care.

• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning; assist with insurance claims and transfers.
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned.

Canora Pharmacy is looking for a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Canora, Saskatchewan.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
• Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
• Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy witha preliminary understanding of the pharmacy business is preferred.
• Skilled in using Kroll and highly accurate and efficient in prescription data entry is an asset.
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Schedule

• 40 hours per week (Full-time)
• The store operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Shift schedules will vary based on operational needs, and candidates must be flexible and available to work a range of days and hours, including occasional Saturdays as required.
