Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Assistant for Canora, Saskatchewan. You will support pharmacists, greet customers, and help with entering and packaging prescriptions under supervision.

The successful candidate will have retail pharmacy experience, good communication skills, and strong attention to detail. This position requires standing for long periods and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail setting is preferred.
• Proficient with prescription data entry and labeling.
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift boxes.

Responsibilities

Canora Pharmacy is looking for a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Canora, Saskatchewan.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities:

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
• Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
• Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy witha preliminary understanding of the pharmacy business is preferred.
• Skilled in using Kroll and highly accurate and efficient in prescription data entry is an asset.
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week (Full-time)
• The store operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Shift schedules will vary based on operational needs, and candidates must be flexible and available to work a range of days and hours, including occasional Saturdays as required.
