Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support dispensing prescriptions and assist in delivering pharmacy services. You will help ensure timely, accurate processing and maintain excellent customer service within the dispensary.

You will assist the pharmacist with prescription processing, data entry, and third-party billing while upholding privacy and confidentiality. The role includes cash handling and coordination of routine administration tasks.

Qualificações

• Greet customers and gather prescription information according to Standards.
• Adhere to confidentiality and privacy requirements.
• Assist pharmacist with prescription processing and data entry.
• Adjudicate third-party billing, manage faxes, and coordinate calls.
• Maintain cash register in the dispensary.

Responsabilidades

• Greet customer promptly and gather prescription information according to Standards.
• Refer to the pharmacist all clinical inquiries.
• Set realistic customer expectations as to wait times.
• Locate and cash out prescriptions and any ancillary items.
• Ensure customers requiring counseling are referred to the Pharmacist.
• Maintain and control the cash register in the dispensary.
• Adhere to all confidentiality and privacy requirements.
• Receive new and repeat prescription orders in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
