Shoppers Drug Mart in Ontario is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support dispensing prescriptions, deliver pharmacy services, and maintain store operations in line with Pharmacy Standards of Practice.

You will handle customer service, prescription data entry, third-party billing, and collaboration with pharmacists; strong attention to detail and multitasking are essential; this role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for training.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Pharmacy Assistant diploma preferred.
Previous Pharmacy experience preferred.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Greet customers promptly and collect prescription information according to Standards.
Refer to the pharmacist all clinical inquiries and set wait-time expectations.
Process prescriptions, cash out items, and maintain the cash register.
Assist pharmacist in ordering, data entry, and filing per Pharmacy Standards of Practice.
Data entry for new prescriptions and manage refill requests.
Assist in prescription preparation and ensure accurate labeling and storage.
Adjudicate third party billing and manage related accounts.
