Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited's Shoppers Drug Mart in Halifax is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support dispensing prescriptions, assist in pharmacy services, and help maintain daily operations in line with Pharmacy Standards of Practice.

You will deliver friendly customer service, assist with data entry, prescription processing, third‑party billing, and counseling referrals to the Pharmacist, with attention to privacy and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Pharmacy Assistant diploma or coursework preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to multi task, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and collect prescription information according to Standards.
• Assist in prescription preparation and data entry per Pharmacy Standards of Practice.
• Refer clinical inquiries to the pharmacist and support third‑party billing and call backs.
• Maintain confidentiality and manage cash register in the dispensary.
