Job summary
Sobeys in the Metro St. John's area is seeking a Full-time Relief Pharmacy Assistant to join our pharmacy team. You’ll support prescription assembly, data entry, and process transactions while coordinating refills and improving patient care.
The position includes compounding, pill pack assembly, filing, ordering supplies, and scheduling clinical services, all while upholding Sobeys standards in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or Pharmacy Tech certificate or other recognized program.
- Previous pharmacy experience is an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prescription assembly – data entry
- Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions)
- Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries
- Promote PROfile programs
- Compounding
- Pill Pack Assembly
- Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning
- Drug order creation and receiving
- Schedule professional clinical services (medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements)
- BTC management
- Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties
- Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
- Assist with other pharmacy operations as required
