Summary:

To assist with the technical functions of dispensing prescriptions, support pharmacy services, and participate in the maintenance and operations of the Pharmacy according to the Pharmacy Standards of Practice. Provide superior, timely, and pleasant service to customers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Greet customers promptly, gather prescription information, and refer clinical inquiries to the pharmacist. Set realistic wait expectations, handle prescriptions and ancillary items, and maintain confidentiality.
• Administration: Receive and process prescription orders, manage third-party billing, answer calls, handle faxes, and assist with documentation.
• Prescription Workflow: Assist in prescription preparation, data entry, medication selection, counting, packaging, labeling, and maintaining pharmacy data systems.

Skills & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma; Pharmacy Assistant credited course preferred
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred
• Organizational skills, multitasking, problem-solving, and attention to detail
