SUMMARY:

To assist with the technical functions of dispensing prescriptions, support pharmacy service delivery, participate in maintenance and operations as per Pharmacy Standards of Practice, and provide superior, timely, and friendly service to customers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Customer Service: Greet customers promptly, gather prescription information, and set realistic wait time expectations.
2. Dispensing: Locate and cash prescriptions, ensure counseling referrals to Pharmacist, and maintain confidentiality.
3. Administration: Process prescriptions, manage third-party billing, handle calls and faxes, and file documentation accurately.
4. Prescription Workflow: Assist in prescription preparation, data entry, medication selection, counting, packaging, labeling, and data maintenance within pharmacy systems.

Skills & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma; Pharmacy Assistant credited course preferred
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred
• Organizational skills, multitasking ability, problem-solving, and attention to detail
