Job summary

Pocketpills is a Canada’s leading online pharmacy and medical care platform delivering care to members across the country. We are seeking a Pharmacy Customer Support specialist to deliver high-quality service across multiple channels, process prescriptions, and collaborate with pharmacists to ensure accurate medication handling.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience recognizing patient medications.
  • Flexible to weekend and holiday shifts.
  • Proficient with computers and common software.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality customer (member) service to patients.
  • Assist members across phone, email, SMS and chat with orders, billing/insurance, medication or other service questions.
  • Process new and refill prescriptions.
  • Take/send refill requests and respond to patient inquiries.
  • Send refill and transfer requests to doctors and pharmacies.
  • Verify prescription information is complete and accurate.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy team members to maintain member satisfaction.
  • Understand commonly prescribed medications and their uses.
  • Assist the pharmacist in filling prescription items as per regulations.
  • Collect, organize and evaluate patient information.
  • Proactively identify solutions to anticipated questions.
  • Take a hands-on approach to resolve every issue from start to finish.
  • Reviewing and processing every request accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize and evaluate patient information.
  • Proactively identify solutions to questions you anticipate our members having in each interaction
  • Take a hands-on approach to resolve every issue, owning it from start to finish
  • Reviewing and processing every request accurately
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
  • 1 year of pharmacy experience
  • Experience recognizing and identifying patient medications.
  • Excellent written, verbal and oral communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A thorough understanding of quality assurance and delivery of service excellence.
  • Demonstrate ability to work as an effective team member.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced work environment while consistently exceeding productivity and quality stand.
  • Flexible to work in different shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Enjoys multitasking and is proficient in computer handling skills.
