Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy in Flin Flon, Manitoba, is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The role supports pharmacists and technicians in providing high-quality patient care and helps with prescription entry, labeling, and dispensing under supervision.

The position requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. This is a hands-on retail pharmacy role in a fast-growing Canadian network that values

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy with a preliminary understanding of the pharmacy business is preferred.
• Skilled in using Kroll and highly accurate and efficient in prescription data entry.
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care

• Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
• Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
• Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Schedule

• 40 hours per week (Full-time).
• The regular schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• 8-hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend as needed.
