Job summary

Salmo Valley Pharmacy is a locally owned pharmacy serving the Salmo Valley area, with a family-oriented, flexible schedule and supportive team environment.

We are seeking a licensed pharmacist who can lead a team, collaborate with healthcare providers and provide clinical services including minor ailments prescribing and injections while ensuring accurate dispensing and effective inventory control.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide outstanding patient care and service.
• Experience leading pharmacy technicians and assistants.
• Ability to collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Competence in preparing prescriptions with attention to clinical appropriateness and accuracy.
• Experience providing clinical services such as minor ailment prescribing, medication reviews and injections.
• Ability to assist with ordering, stock management and daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service at the counter and in the dispensing area.
• Lead a team of pharmacy technicians and assistants.
• Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Prepare prescriptions with emphasis on clinical appropriateness and accuracy.
• Provide clinical services such as prescribing for minor ailments, medication reviews and injections.
• Assist with ordering, inventory management and daily pharmacy operations.

Salmo Valley Pharmacy is a locally owned pharmacy in the scenic West Kootenays. • Preparing prescriptions and ensuring the clinical appropriateness and accuracy of all medications dispensed


• Providing clinical services such as prescribing for minor ailments, medication reviews and injections


• Assisting with ordering, inventory management and other duties relating to daily pharmacy operations

Pharmacist currently licensed or eligible for licensing to practice in Canada, in good standing with your provincial College of Pharmacists, Injection certification, OAT Training, Minor Ailments Prescribing, Experience with Kroll an asset
