Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy Inc. is seeking a full-time Relief Pharmacist based in Medicine Hat to support multiple locations within a three-hour radius.

Travel will be required with mileage and meal reimbursements provided where applicable, returning home each night. The role emphasizes clinical services, vaccination administration, and interoperable patient care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacists.
• Injection certification is required.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical services such as medication reviews, chronic disease management and care plan development.
• Administer vaccines and immunizations.
• Counsel patients on prescriptions, OTC products, and health topics, including indications and proper usage.
• Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and regulatory standards governing pharmacy practice.
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations as assigned.

In this role, you will support multiple locations within a three-hour radius of Medicine Hat bringing your expertise where it's needed most. Enjoy the variety of travel while still returning home to sleep in your own bed each night, no overnight stays required! Mileage and meal reimbursements are provided where applicable.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities:

• Deliver clinical services such as medication reviews, chronic disease management and care plan development. Administer vaccines and immunizations
• Determine appropriateness of drug therapy and monitor for effectiveness, side effects, and interactions
• Counsel patients on prescriptions, over-the-counter products, and health-related topics, including indications, contraindication, side effects, and proper usage and storage
• Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and regulatory standards governing pharmacy practice
• Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned
