As a casual Clinical Pharmacist, you will provide a full range of clinical and distributive services to inpatients and outpatients within a computerized environment; and with clinical expertise in psychiatry and addictions to provide safe and effective medication management to the patients of CAMH. You will work collaboratively with other pharmacy team members and healthcare providers. Duties include evaluating medication orders, developing pharmaceutical care plans, resolving drug therapy problems, collecting medication histories, facilitating medication reconciliation, and ensuring accurate dispensing of pharmaceuticals. The position also supports risk management, patient safety, clinical knowledge sharing, and quality improvement activities. You will teach, mentor, and transfer knowledge to students, residents, and interns, supporting the department’s education and research initiatives. CAMH values diversity and complies with all regulatory and legislative requirements.
Job Requirements
You possess a B.Sc. in Pharmacy and are registered with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (Part A) with two years of relevant pharmacy experience. Experience in a mental health setting or a postgraduate pharmacy degree is a plus. Knowledge of computerized unit dose drug distribution systems, pharmacy operations, and medication-use processes is essential. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are required, along with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language is an asset.
