Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking a Pharmacist to manage the Pharmacy operations on duty, providing prescriptions counselling and patient care in a community setting. You will ensure privacy, maintain records, and coordinate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality service.

The role includes dispensing medications, overseeing inventory and workflow, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. A strong focus on customer service and professional standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operations of the Pharmacy while on duty and provide consultation to customers and health care providers.
• Dispense medication and ensure accuracy and appropriateness of prescriptions.
• Maintain privacy requirements and consent management.
• Counsel patients on prescriptions and OTC products.
• Interface with other health care professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain required records in accordance with legislation and policies.
• Oversee inventory, workflow queues, and stock levels in the dispensary.
• Ensure compliance with Controlled Drugs and Substances Act regulations and reporting to Health Canada.
