Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. in Alberta is seeking a Pharmacist to manage the operations of the Pharmacy while on duty, providing consultations to customers and health care providers, and dispensing medications in full scope.

You will ensure privacy, accuracy, and compliance with regulations, support inventory management, and contribute to exceptional patient care within a local community store in Fort McMurray.

Qualifications

• Independent thinking and decision making
• Plan, coordinate and delegate assignments and provide coaching to Pharmacy colleagues
• Proven ability to drive and build the business, lead by example and support enterprise programs
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
• Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism
• Strong problem-solving skills including experience formulating and executing action plans
• Strong personal computing skills and knowledge of Pharmacy systems a definite asset
• Health & Safety procedures and training compliance
• Complete mandatory training and voluntary continuing education workshops

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge customers approaching the Pharmacy and provide counselling
• Ensure privacy requirements are met and prescriptions dispensed accurately
• Coordinate dispensing workflows and inventory management
• Communicate with health care professionals to support patient care
• Maintain records in accordance with legislation and SOPs
