Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart is seeking a pharmacist to manage the Pharmacy operations on duty, provide counselling to customers and health care providers, and dispense medications while maintaining privacy and compliance with regulations. The role covers workflow, inventory management, documentation, and ensuring a professional store image.

The candidate should demonstrate independent thinking, leadership, customer service excellence, and strong problem-solving skills, with experience in pharmacy systems

• Plan, coordinate and delegate assignments and provide coaching to Pharmacy colleagues.
• Proven ability to drive and build the business, lead by example and support enterprise programs.

• Strong problem-solving skills including experience formulating and executing action plans.
• Strong personal computing skills and knowledge of Pharmacy systems a definite asset.
• Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed to provide a healthy and safe work environment.
• Complete mandatory training and voluntary continuing education workshops, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Pharmacy and Customer Service: Counsel on prescriptions, advise customers and health care providers, ensure privacy and consent management.
• Workflow and Inventory Management: Oversight of stock, manage inventory and documentation, monitor will-call and expired items.
• Operations: Ensure pharmacy areas present a professional image, participate in financial reporting and respond to store communications.
