Summary:

To manage the operations of the Pharmacy while on duty, including providing consultation to customers and healthcare providers, practicing to full scope in professional services, dispensing medication, and assisting in the maintenance of the dispensary.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Pharmacy and Customer Service: Greet all customers approaching the Pharmacy, practice within legal requirements, ensure privacy and confidentiality, provide counselling on prescriptions and products, practice full scope of professional services, be identifiable to the public, ensure accuracy of prescriptions, communicate with healthcare professionals, and maintain records in accordance with legislation.
• Workflow and Inventory Management: Control access to the dispensary, review workflow queues daily, manage stock levels, identify expired inventory, oversee medication orders, and ensure compliance with regulations regarding controlled substances.
• Operations: Maintain a professional environment, participate in financial reporting, respond to store communications, and document incidents related to medication or privacy issues.
• Experience, Skills & Qualifications: Demonstrate decision-making skills, lead and coach pharmacy staff, drive business growth, provide exceptional customer service, possess problem-solving skills, have good computing skills, and follow health and safety procedures. Complete mandatory and ongoing training as needed.
