CareRx is looking for a Pharmacist to join our Edmonton team. Under the general direction of the Designated Pharmacy Manager, the Staff Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring that all prescriptions are dispensed accurately and safely while providing pharmaceutical patient care ensuring the highest level of therapeutic appropriateness for patients. The Staff Pharmacist responds to a multitude of scenarios including, but not limited to: Verifying safe and appropriate medication administration, assessing and dispensing critical medications, rapidly responding to palliative care prescriptions and arranging drug deliveries with our delivery team.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Collaboration with all members of the pharmacy team to ensure medication orders are dispensed accurately, safely, timely and completely.
  • Complete daily tasks in accordance with established workplace policies and procedures.
  • Consult with members of the pharmacy management team when there are unresolved issues surrounding day‑to‑day work functions.
  • Provide exceptional customer care to CareRx pharmacy patients and home partners.
  • Communicate with all members of the resident care team while maintaining professionalism by following corporate policies to always ensure the highest standard of customer care and quality of pharmacy service.
  • Conduct medication regimen/profile reviews with associated documentation of recommendations.
  • Follow all provincial and federal laws, standards and regulations which govern the practice of pharmacy at all times.
  • Follow all corporate regulations, policies, and procedures at all times.
  • Assist in maintaining and monitoring pharmacy inventory.
  • Participate in the training and support for newly hired and existing pharmacy team members when required.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Currently licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).
  • Proven ability to foster strong partnership with other members of the health care team.
  • Effective organization, planning, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of Kroll Windows application preferred.
  • Skilled in critical thought processes and ability to prioritize appropriately.
  • Self‑directed, requiring minimal supervision and the ability to work independently.
  • Motivated to achieve results that reflect a high standard of quality.
  • Must demonstrate good listening skill and be adaptable to changes in job environment.
  • Previous Long Term pharmacy experience is an asset but not required.

Location: This role will be on site at 17969 106 Avenue NW, Edmonton AB T5S 2H1 and follows a five‑day work week with required participation in the On‑call Pharmacist evening and weekend rotations.
