CareRx Corporation is hiring a Registered Pharmacy Technician for on-site work at our Edmonton facilities. You will assist the Staff Pharmacist with preparation, packaging and distribution of prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and compliance in a long-term care setting.

The role emphasizes collaboration, accuracy, and timely final checks for compounding and adherence packaging, with opportunities to grow in geriatrics and mental health medication support.

Qualifications

  • Registered and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).
  • Experience in long-term care or senior care pharmacy is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with eMAR and prescription fulfillment processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Staff Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions
  • Ensure that all prescriptions are complete and authentic
  • Gather and ensure completeness of all necessary information
  • Confirm data entry accuracy in eMAR and Kroll
  • Confirm accuracy of pharmaceutical products and ensure final checks are completed for accuracy prior to their release
  • Ensuring accurate documentation and maintaining confidentiality in a clean pharmacy environment
  • Other duties as assigned

CareRx is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technicianto join our team in delivering safe and effective drug distribution services across multiple facilities. Role Accountabilities:

  • Assist the Staff Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions
  • Ensure that all prescriptions are complete and authentic
  • Gather and ensure completeness of all necessary information,
  • Confirm data entry accuracy in eMAR and Kroll
  • Confirm accuracy of pharmaceutical products and ensure final checks are completed for accuracy prior to their release
  • Ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining confidentiality, adhering to ethical standards, and contributing to a clean pharmacy environment
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Will Bring to The Team:

  • Registered and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).
  • Knowledge of KROLL, PCC or Catalyst Pharmacy systems in a long-term care setting is a strong asset
  • Retail/Community/ Long Term Care Pharmacy experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated computer or work processing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Location: This is an on-site role located at 17969 106 Ave NW Edmonton, AB T5S 2H1and follows a five-day work week with weekend rotations.
