Placements24 is seeking a Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Specialist for our client in Kimberley, Northern Cape. The role centers on planning, coordinating, and optimizing inventory, logistics, and distribution of pharmaceutical products while ensuring GDP compliance and regulatory alignment.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in SCM and at least four years' experience in pharma supply chain, with strong analytical skills and experience with SAP, Oracle, or JDA.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in SCM, logistics, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in supply chain management, preferably pharma/healthcare.
- Strong knowledge of GDP and pharmaceutical regulations.
- Proficiency with SAP/Oracle/JDA and SCM planning tools.
Responsibilities
- Optimize inventory levels to meet demand and minimize costs.
- Coordinate with manufacturers, distributors, and providers for timely delivery.
- Develop supply chain strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor performance and mitigate risks.
- Ensure GDP compliance across processes.
- Manage relationships with 3PLs and negotiate contracts.
- Forecast demand using planning software.
- Resolve stockouts, delays, or damage.
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, QA.
- Prepare reports on performance and costs.
