Job summary

PCI Pharma Services in Canada is seeking a Midnight Shift Packager/Maintenance professional to lead day-to-day equipment setup, maintenance, operation, and issue resolution at our pharmaceutical packaging facility.

You will work with QA, Maintenance Trades, Packagers and Line Leaders; read procedures, follow SOPs, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure high quality with minimal waste while supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot technical problems and perform required adjustments.
• Ability to inspect mechanical equipment and perform preventative maintenance tasks.
• Effective interpersonal skills to work in a team environment.
• Knowledge of and adherence to PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.
• Identifies and tackles continuous improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate packaging machinery (cartoning, blistering, bottling, inkjet coder, checkweigher).
• Disassembles and cleans change parts/production area per SOPs.
• Operate the line from a production standpoint with QA, Maintenance Trades, Packagers and Line Leaders.
• Reads and understands packaging procedures prior to each job.
• Adheres to standard SOPs and job-specific packaging procedures.
• Troubleshoots setup, equipment and facility issues with escalation as needed.
• Performs in-process checks and inspections.
• Collaborates with Maintenance Trades to troubleshoot and repair.
• Performs packaging tasks and trains new Packagers and Maintenance personnel.
• Maintains cleanliness and safe work environment.
• Executes preventative maintenance tasks.
• Reviews machine manuals to optimize run conditions.
• Fabricates change parts as required.
• Uses CMMS for various tasks.
