Job summary

Teva Canada is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead site maintenance at our GMP-regulated pharmaceutical facility in Stouffville, Ontario. You will oversee day-to-day maintenance activities, support production, manage site systems and contractors, and drive reliability and continuous improvement to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive maintenance experience in GMP-regulated environments.
• P.Eng. designation and trades license preferred.
• Experience leading maintenance budgets and capital projects.
• Strong safety, quality, and regulatory compliance mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all site maintenance activities to support production schedules and business objectives.
• Provide technical expertise and problem-solving support for manufacturing equipment, including tablet presses, fluid bed dryers, compactors, coating pans, encapsulators, packaging lines, and other pharmaceutical processing equipment.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
• Monitor critical equipment and site systems to ensure uninterrupted operations and business continuity.
• Participate in the site's 24/7 on-call rotation and provide emergency support as required.
• Lead, coach, and develop maintenance personnel while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate and oversee the activities of contractors, vendors, and service providers supporting site operations and projects.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members and support cross-functional collaboration across the organization.
• Manage facility renovations, infrastructure upgrades, and capital projects from planning through execution.
• Identify and implement reliability, efficiency, and cost-saving initiatives across maintenance operations.
• Support strategic planning activities through effective asset lifecycle management and facility planning.
• Utilize root cause analysis and best practices to address recurring issues and drive sustainable solutions.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with GMP, EHS, and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal audits, regulatory inspections, and inspection readiness initiatives.
• Maintain maintenance records, permits, procedures, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
